TRACK

Sun worshipper.

Always straight into the sun. The ALUMERO photovoltaic tracker easyTRACK is a single-axis, completely unmanned system that follows the sun. It allows modules to be assembled in a single row with a maximum length of 98 m.

The system

easyTRACK offers yields that are up to 30% higher than stationary PV systems. The exceptional efficiency of the solar system is ensured by the sun tracking function, which optimally aligns the PV modules to the direction of the sun's rays.

The system is controlled by an astronomical clock, while system safety is ensured by intelligent sensors and a weather station that measures wind speed and direction. When critical values are exceeded, the system automatically forces the panels into the preferred safety position.

The ALUMERO tracking system is also equipped with snow and rain sensors. When heavy precipitation occurs, the tracking system switches to automatic snow removal/panel cleaning mode and tilts so that the snow can slide off or the surface can be cleaned.

Product description

With the easyTRACK PV tracker system From ALUMERO, your open-space PV system always follows the sun — fully automatically and highly efficiently. The single-axis photovoltaic tracker (solar tracker) continuously aligns the solar modules with the position of the sun over the course of the day and thus achieves up to 30% higher earnings compared to conventional, stationary PV mounting systems. The modules are included in a single vertical row of up to 98 m in length — ideal for large open-space PV systems and solar parks with a system size of around 1 MW. This continuous sun tracking ensures optimal irradiation on the modules at any time of day. In combination with bifacial modules The solar tracker can exploit the potential of both sides of the module and further maximize the energy yield.

The tracking system is controlled via a astronomical clock, while intelligent sensors constantly monitor wind and weather. At critical wind speeds, the system brings the modules automatically in a safe horizontal positionto prevent damage caused by storms. easyTRACK is also equipped with Rain and snow sensors equipped. If this detects heavy precipitation, the tracker switches to the automatic snow removal or cleaning mode and tilts the row of modules steeply so that snow can slide off and the modules are cleaned. In this way, your system remains protected and performs well even in severe weather conditions.

Technical highlights

EK offers numerous innovative functions and design features that make it stand out from rigid PV substructures. Below you can find the most important technical highlights this solar tracking system:

Single-axis tracking system with vertical series of modules

This system is Uniaxially designed and allows the modules to swivel east-west, causing them to move throughout the day perpendicular to solar radiation are aligned. The modules are in a single vertical row arranged — up to 98 meters in length per tracker is possible. This single-row, vertical modular arrangement is particularly advantageous for open-space systems: On the one hand, shading between adjacent rows is reduced to a minimum, and on the other hand, the system is ideal for suitable for bifacial modules (the back of the modules remains free and can also use radiation). easyTRACK is therefore predestined for large-scale solar parks and was specifically designed for systems from 1 MW developed, but can be modularly adapted to a wide range of project sizes.

3D backtracking — less row shading

The 3D backtracking algorithm easyTRACK constantly calculates the optimal angle of inclination in order to to avoid shadows on subsequent module series. As soon as the sun is low (around morning or late afternoon), the trackers automatically turn the modules out of direct sunlight so that the Shortened shadow cone and there is no shading of the next row. This intelligent Backtrackingprocess guarantees the highest efficiency of the tracking system, as each row of modules makes a maximum contribution to energy generation. In particular in systems with short row spacing and hilly terrain, 3D backtracking thus ensures noticeably better returns compared to simple tracking systems without this function.

The 3D backtracking function in use

Smart sensors — protection against wind and weather

easyTRACK is equipped with a weather station and equipped with several sensors that record environmental conditions in real time. Wind speed and wind direction are measured continuously. If the wind values exceed defined thresholds, the system automatically drives the modules into a flat Safety position close to the horizon so as not to provide an attack surface in stormy weather. The system also registers snowfalls and rains: In the event of heavy snowfall or heavy rainfall, a cleaning mode activated. In this mode, the modules tilt steeply downwards so that snow slides off quickly and rain can also effectively wash off the module surfaces. After the storm, the trackers automatically return to normal tracking mode. These automatic protection and cleaning functions increase operational safety and minimize weather-related yield losses — your PV system stays clean and protected for longer without you having to intervene.

The tracker always guides the system in the right direction — whether towards the sun or inclined to clean snow.

24/7 monitoring app for full control

Another strength of the easyTRACK system is Round-the-clock monitoring via app. With a user-friendly smartphone or web app, you can All important operating data at any time View your solar tracker. The system sends automatically warning messages and alarms to defined recipients (e.g. via email) as soon as certain parameters are outside the target range. This gives you always an overview of the system status and can react immediately if necessary. Among other things, the following are monitored:

  • battery charge level the emergency power supply (backup battery)
  • Drive motor peak current (engine load)
  • Current wind speed (local weather conditions)
  • Axle lock and drive status (e.g. blockages or overloads)

Thanks to this comprehensive Remote monitoring-Function lets you know immediately when there is a need for action. The app allows you to optimize the performance of your PV tracker system and quickly take action in the event of a fault. Of course, all connections are through a encrypted wireless mesh network secured so that communication data is transmitted securely.

The network control unit serves as an interface for integrating smart functions and modern technology.

Emergency power supply for maximum reliability

easyTRACK has an integrated system so that your solar tracker remains operational even in the event of a power failure or network-related problems emergency power supply system. This backup system — usually a backup battery with a charge controller — ensures that the tracker's controls and motors continue to function even if the public grid fails. In an emergency, the modules can therefore driven into a safe position They will not and will not remain defenceless in a storm. The emergency power supply therefore increases the safety of your system and gives you additional Operational safety for critical situations. Depending on customer requirements, the tracker's energy supply can be flexibly configured — for example as Stand-alone solution with your own solar module and battery or as a network supply with UPS support. In any case, you are on the safe side with easyTRACK, as the system works in a controlled manner even under adverse conditions.

night mode and flexible operating modes

Your PV system doesn't have to sit idly by even at night: easyTRACK has an adjustable night mode, which allows you to freely define the inclination of the modules for the dark hours. For example, you can set the row of modules to remain horizontal overnight to keep the wind load low, or position it at a specific angle so that morning dew runs optimally. The next morning, the tracker automatically resumes normal tracking mode. All operating modes of the system can be flexibly configured, so easyTRACK works exactly according to your needs. Whether cleaning position in rain, storm mode or individual parking position — the control can be adapted to project requirements. This gives you a highly versatile tracking system, which can be optimally prepared for various scenarios.

Assembly & materials

Faster assembly due to just a few components

The easyTRACK system impresses with a very small number of individual components. From post construction to module mounting, everything has been optimised so that as few components as possible are required. That reduces Assembly time and sources of error Significant — your installers will appreciate it. Fewer parts also mean lower overall costs during transportation and assembly. Thanks to the sophisticated design and pre-assembled components, installation on the construction site is completed quickly. easyTRACK is easy to set up even on difficult terrain. Moderate terrain irregularities of up to 4° inclination (north-south) can balance the construction so that even slightly inclined surfaces are suitable for tracker installation.

Durable steel with Magnelis coating

All supporting parts of easyTRACK are made of high-quality Magnelis coated steel. This special metallic coating (zinc-aluminum-magnesium) protects the steel particularly effective against corrosion — even in very harsh environments such as industrial plants or coastal areas (corrosivity category C5). The Magnelis steel components have an extremely long lifespan and guarantee you a stable PV substructure for decades without significant maintenance costs. ALUMERO also uses stainless steel screws and small parts to prevent galvanic corrosion. On request, exposed steel parts of the easyTRACK system can even coated in green so that the complex blends harmoniously into the landscape (for example when privacy requirements apply in parks or agricultural areas). Overall, you get a robust mounting system that withstands all weather conditions and can be kept visually discreet.

Flexible foundation options for any surface

Depending on the soil conditions on site, easyTRACK offers variable foundation options. The most common solution is rammable steel posts, which are inserted directly into the soil without concreting — ideal for solid, stone-free soils (e.g. gravel, clay). Alternatively, the system can be connected to screw foundations (ground anchors) be anchored, which is particularly useful on very soft or rocky soils where ramming is difficult. Thirdly, there is the possibility of a concrete foundations, e.g. point foundations or floor plates, if required by the statics or the subsoil. These three mounting types ensure that you easyTRACK almost everywhere can be used — on grassland and arable land as well as on sandy or gravelly soils and even on paved surfaces such as concrete or asphalt. Thanks to the flexible installation options, the tracker system can be optimally adapted to your project and location without the need for extensive earthwork. In addition, a rammable or screwable foundation avoids complete soil sealing and makes it easier to dismantle the system later, which meets the requirements for temporary PV projects or agri-PV areas.

Sustainability aspects

Sustainability is a top priority at ALUMERO — with the company's own initiative Metagreen ALUMERO consistently uses environmentally friendly materials and processes. For example, the majority of ALUMERO PV mounting systems consist of recycled aluminum, the so-called secondary aluminum. The use of recycled aluminum reduces resource consumption enormously: Compared to the production of primary aluminum, the Energy consumption of up to 95% and CO₂ emissions of around 80%. ALUMERO can take advantage of this advantage without sacrificing material quality — the metagreen aluminum alloys meet the highest requirements and ensure long-lasting components. The easyTRACK tracker system also benefits from this philosophy, for example when it comes to connection profiles or small parts made of aluminum.

In addition, Development and production in the EU, at ALUMERO locations in Austria, Poland and other European countries. Short transport routes within Europe further reduce the CO₂ footprint of the products and enable close quality control in accordance with European standards.
