ALUMERO easyGREEN is an innovative PV mounting system for green flat roofs (green roofs) and so-called blue roofs. It combines the stability of a rail system with the flexibility of a panel system — more space for plants, more photovoltaics for you. This modular system is a Development of the proven easySPEED series and was developed specifically for the installation of solar systems on green roofs. Quick installation, optimal load distribution and lightning current carrying capacity characterize easyGREEN. Thanks to environmentally friendly metagreen aluminum alloys and production in Europe, it is also a sustainable solution for PV substructures.
Installers, roofers and electricians benefit from the exceptionally fast installation of the easyGREEN system. Thanks to a well-thought-out design, up to 1 kWp of module output can be installed in just 5 minutes (with two fitters) — this significantly speeds up project implementation. All connections are made with just a single tool, which further simplifies installation. The number of components was deliberately kept low and many components are pre-assembled or modularly compatible with the easySPEED-2 system. This means less assembly work on the construction site and a lower incidence of errors. Overall, easyGREEN ensures rapid start-up of the PV system, which saves time and money.
The easyGREEN system ensures optimal load distribution on the roof. Large-scale support plates and sophisticated ballasting ensure that the loads are introduced into the roof as a load with minimal point loads. As a result, the sensitive roof seal remains protected — roof penetrations are not necessary, as the system works as a ballasted installation system. This load-distributing property is particularly important for green roofs with their additional layers (root protection, substrate, etc.) to prevent pressure points and damage. The construction is statically optimized and wind tunnel tested so that it meets all static requirements on a flat roof. easyGREEN can also handle heavy snow and wind loads in exposed areas — a heavy-duty or alpine version is available for extreme cases. This makes the system Both robust and roof-friendly.
easyGREEN was developed specifically for green flat roofs and, with a distance of 300 mm between roof area and lower edge of the module, offers plenty of space for vegetation. This raised construction ensures that plants on the green roof get enough light and rainwater to stay healthy. At the same time, this enables a permanently safe, low-maintenance installation of the solar modules — the plants continue to grow undisturbed and the modules are easy to clean or maintain as needed. Another advantage is optimal water drainage: The system does not hinder the drainage of the roof, so that rainwater can flow off unhindered or, in the case of a blue roof, be temporarily stored in a controlled manner.
easyGREEN is also ideal for blue roofs (roofs with temporary rainwater retention). The aluminum components are corrosion-resistant and can also withstand accumulating moisture. In addition, the construction does not affect the function of the retention modules — water can continue to circulate under and between the PV substructures.
Synergy effect: Green and blue roofs can even increase PV yield, as vegetation and water provide cooling. Studies show that a blue-green roof can increase the output of solar modules by around 4—5% due to lower temperatures. easyGREEN therefore not only contributes to green roofs, but also to the efficiency of the PV system.
easyGREEN gives you maximum flexibility. The system is compatible with almost all common PV module sizes and formats — from smaller modules to XXL modules, e.g. 1500 mm wide and 2500 mm long. Upright or transverse (portrait or landscape installation) — both module orientations are possible, so that both south orientation and east-west elevations can be realized. The size of the module field is also barely limited: contiguous fields of, for example, 21 x 21 m can be planned, which facilitates large-scale projects on hall roofs.
easyGREEN can be installed on already green roofs without having to remove the plants. This means that a PV system can also be retrospectively installed on an existing green roof or retention roof — a major advantage for renovations and existing buildings. The system is best suited for flat roof slopes of up to approx. 5°; extensive greening on flat roofs 0°—5° roof pitch is the main area of application.
easyGREEN also features a stress-free design: The clever support adapter prevents mechanical stress in the system, which enables stress-free (tension-free) installation. As a result, there is no “caterpillar effect” even in the event of temperature fluctuations — the system remains stable in place over the long term and does not migrate on the roof. Overall, easyGREEN is a versatile installation system that can be adapted to a wide range of roof conditions and project requirements.
easyGREEN offers the highest level of safety for the PV system and the building. The substructure is continuously electrically conductively connected — thanks to connecting rails, all components are connected together and the system is capable of carrying lightning current. This means that in the event of a lightning strike, the lightning current can be safely dissipated via the metal substructure (provided that there is a correct connection to the local potential equalization). This feature makes it much easier to integrate the PV system into the building's lightning protection concept. In addition, easyGREEN has continuous potential equalization of all metal parts, which improves electrical safety and minimizes the risk of fire.
In addition to lightning protection, general stability and durability are also a key feature: All components are made of high-quality aluminum (and stainless steel connectors), which guarantees corrosion protection and a long service life. The construction remains durable even under harsh weather conditions. The stability has been independently proven by test statistics (keyword wind tunnel & static calculation) — this ensures that easyGREEN remains safely on the roof even in the event of storm events and heavy snow loads. For special requirements (e.g. in snow regions or very tall buildings), the heavy-duty or alpine version can also provide even more reserve.
Sustainability is a top priority at ALUMERO. The easyGREEN system consists of the company's own metagreen aluminum alloy, which has a very high recycled content. An average 80% of aluminum used in our products comes from recycled secondary aluminum, which drastically reduces the CO₂ footprint of our production. The use of recycled aluminum in Europe guarantees the lowest CO₂ emissions without sacrificing quality.
