Benefits of easyLIGHT at a glance

  • Safety and certification: Wind tunnel tested for aerodynamic stability and TÜV certified in accordance with UL 2703 — easyLIGHT withstands the highest loads and meets strict quality standards. Integrated grounding pins in the module terminals make it easier for you to equalize potential and increase system safety.
  • Lightning-fast assembly: Pre-assembled components and sophisticated design enable quick and easy installation. With just a few simple steps, the substructure is ready — up to 1 kWp of PV output assembled in 5 minutes, with two people! This saves you valuable time on the construction site and significantly reduces assembly costs.
  • Lightweight construction & transportation advantage: easyLIGHT consists of a high-strength aluminum/stainless steel construction and is particularly lightweight and resilient. The low system weight makes transportation easier and protects your back during installation. At the same time, freight costs are reduced — an advantage that we pass on directly to you (low transport costs). ALUMERO was able to achieve a price advantage of ~ 30% through optimised use of materials, which you can feel with every project.
  • Roof-friendly, ballasted system: The easyLIGHT system does not penetrate the roof — your roof covering remains intact. Instead of drilling, you rely on ballasted support: wind deflectors (deflectors) in the south version and the aerodynamic shape prevent buoyancy, so that only minimal ballast weights are required. This protects the static and makes roof anchors superfluous in many cases (up to 5° roof pitch is possible without penetration). Soft polyester fleece building protection mats are placed under the contact points so that the roof seal is protected from damage.
  • Optimum module ventilation and water drainage: Thanks to the well-thought-out construction, the modules have sufficient distance from the roof surface. This ensures optimal rear ventilation of the PV modules — they stay cooler and give you higher yields, especially on hot days. At the same time, there is water drainage on all sides: rainwater can flow off unhindered without accumulating on the substructures. This reduces dirt deposits and prevents moisture damage to the roof.
  • Durable and sustainable: High-quality materials ensure that easyLIGHT lasts a long time. The supporting parts are made of weather-resistant aluminum (EN AW 6060 T64) and stainless steel, which prevents corrosion and guarantees reliable operation for more than 25 years. We also manufacture easyLIGHT with our environmentally friendly metagreen alloys made of secondary aluminum. On average, ~ 80% of aluminum is made from recycled material — this allows us to guarantee extremely low CO₂ emissions during production without sacrificing quality. With easyLIGHT, you are not only choosing a technically superior one, but also a sustainable mounting system.

Quick assembly — more kWp in less time

As an experienced solar engineer, you know that time is money. This is exactly where easyLIGHT shows its strengths. The substructure was designed in such a way that it requires just a few, universally applicable components. Many components are already pre-assembled, which saves you fiddling around on the construction site. You can rely on everything to fit together intuitively — rolling around long assembly instructions was a thing of the past. With easyLIGHT, you can tighten your photovoltaic modules in no time at all. In fact, a system with a nominal output of around 1 kWp can be installed in around five minutes — it couldn't be faster! This allows you to upgrade more modules per day and complete projects faster. That not only makes you happy, but also your customers.

Another advantage: No heavy equipment is required to install easyLIGHT. Thanks to the lightweight construction, you can transport the components to the roof without a crane. Plugging and screwing together is also easy with normal tools — a single socket wrench is often enough for all connections. This allows you to work more efficiently, save personnel costs and drastically reduce the installation time of your PV system. In short: easyLIGHT makes installation easy.

Lightweight design — low roof load and easy transportation

The easyLIGHT flat roof system consistently uses lightweight construction. All supports and brackets are made of aluminum profiles, which offer an optimal ratio of weight to stability. In plain language: The substructure supports your solar modules reliably, but only weighs a minimum of its own onto the roof. This has several advantages for you:

  • Easy to use: You can easily lift and position the parts yourself. Especially on the roof, every kilogram less pays off twice. A lower system weight means less towing and faster assembly.
  • Less ballast: Due to the low weight of the system and its aerodynamic profile, less additional ballast is also required to absorb wind loads. This protects the roof structure and minimizes point loads on the roof surface. easyLIGHT really comes into its own when it comes to buildings with limited load-bearing reserves or soft insulation.
  • Shipping cost advantages: Lightweight and compactly packable components reduce transport volumes. This means lower transport costs for you and your wholesaler customers. More assembly system per truck — this has a positive effect on the project calculation. Even with more remote construction sites in Austria, Germany or Switzerland, logistics costs remain manageable.

Last but not least, easyLIGHT's material-saving approach has a direct effect on the price. Savings of around 30% compared to comparable assembly systems are possible without sacrificing quality. So you get an extremely economical PV mounting system that protects your budget and that of your customers.

Aerodynamic and roof friendly — no roof penetration required

Flat roofs place special demands on mounting systems: They should be stable in wind and weather without damaging the roof covering. easyLIGHT meets exactly that. It is an aerodynamic assembly system that cleverly utilizes wind forces through sophisticated wind control elements and its design. Wind tunnel tests have confirmed that easyLIGHT remains stable even at high wind speeds. The flow-optimized geometry reduces buoyancy, which means that the system sticks to the roof almost by itself. The result: In most cases, it is sufficient to place ballast weights on the appropriate brackets — roof penetrations are not necessary.

For you, this means no drilling, no dowels and no sealing of holes. The roof seal remains intact and the risk of leaks is eliminated. This is particularly important on film and bitumen roofs, where any breakthrough can be problematic. Instead, the loads are spread over support points with fleece building protection mats, which we include with the system. These mats act as padding between aluminum and roof foil — this prevents pressure points and damage. So you can also use easyLIGHT on sensitive surfaces, such as green roofs or roofs with insulation, without having to have sleepless nights.

Another advantage of the ballasted system: You can use easyLIGHT on almost any flat roof. Whether it's a foil, bitumen, concrete or gravel roof — easyLIGHT adapts. It works flawlessly even on slight slopes: roof slopes of up to 5° can be achieved without any special measures. If your roof is more inclined, we offer optional suitable roof anchors or fixings to ensure safe installation there as well. This gives you maximum flexibility and allows you to use a single assembly system for a wide variety of projects.

Higher yields due to cooling and well-thought-out water flow

One aspect of PV mounting systems that is often underestimated is the rear ventilation of the modules. easyLIGHT provides the best conditions here: The modules sit on brackets that leave a distance of around 60 mm from the roof surface. This gap allows air to circulate and cool the modules from below. Especially in summer, the module temperature can be kept a few degrees lower, which leads to significantly higher efficiency — your solar system delivers more kWh per installed kWp. For you and your customers, this means better performance and higher solar yields, without additional effort.

easyLIGHT also perfectly solves the issue of water drainage. After a rain shower, you don't want standing puddles on the roof or around the module feet. Our design ensures that rainwater can flow off unhindered on all sides. Neither the clamps nor the mounting brackets form barriers in which water could build up. This protects both the modules and the roof from moisture damage. In addition, the roof surface remains cleaner, as dirt and leaves are better washed away by the water. A drier roof with good drainage reduces maintenance costs in the long term and increases the lifetime of the entire PV system.

High-quality materials, durability and warranty

Quality is paramount at ALUMERO. The easyLIGHT flat roof system is therefore made from corrosion-resistant materials that are optimised for outdoor use. The main structure consists of aluminum profiles (EN AW 6060 T64) and galvanized steel components, supplemented by screws and small parts made of stainless steel. This combination of materials guarantees a high load capacity combined with excellent weather resistance. Rust has no chance here — even after decades of operation, the construction remains stable and safe.

We are convinced of the durability of our system: ALUMERO gives you 25 years of optimal functionality on the core components of easyLIGHT. This confidence is no coincidence — careful development work, static calculations and independent testing underpin it. The easyLIGHT system has been TÜV tested and certified in accordance with the international standard UL 2703, which, among other things, assesses the electrical grounding and mechanical resistance of PV mounting systems. For you, this means a reassuring increase in safety: You get a quality product confirmed by the testing institute that meets all relevant standards.

The mentioned integrated grounding pins in the module terminals are a practical detail. These ensure that the module frames are grounded directly when the clamps are tightened. The potential equalization has therefore already been solved constructively — you don't have to drill any extra grounding rails or holes on the modules. This saves time and avoids sources of error when it comes to plant safety. Overall, easyLIGHT therefore offers you an all-round carefree package: high mechanical stability, tested safety and a lifetime that easily keeps up with that of the PV modules.

Tip: By the way, you can make the layout of easyLIGHT even easier with our ALUMERO Solar.Pro.Tool planning program. The software takes into account all static requirements, wind and snow loads in your region and gives you a detailed plan including a parts list — so you're on the safe side before you hit the roof.

Sustainability with metagreen — Green tech on the roof

It's not just the sun that provides clean energy — the mounting system underneath can also contribute to sustainability. ALUMERO has with metagreen launched its own sustainability concept, and easyLIGHT is part of it. In concrete terms, this means that the system's aluminum profiles are Made of secondary aluminum, i.e. recycled aluminum. On average, each consists of metagreen-80% recycled alloy. As a result, the CO₂ footprint of production is massively reduced. By way of classification: The production of recycled aluminum requires only around 5% of the energy compared to primary production. This saving in energy and CO₂ directly benefits the environment — and therefore all of us.

For you and your customers, this means: With easyLIGHT, you are consciously choosing a sustainable PV mounting system that perfectly meets the ecological requirements of photovoltaics. Despite the high recycling content, you don't have to worry about the quality — the metagreen-Aluminum alloys offer the same strength and durability as conventional aluminum. So you get full performance with minimal environmental impact. More and more builders and investors today value green building materials and a good CO₂ balance of their PV systems. With easyLIGHT, you can meet this wish and at the same time set yourself apart from competitors by using sustainable technology. In this way, you make an additional contribution to climate protection while installing clean solar power — a real win-win situation.

Two variants — south elevation or east/west system

Every roof and every PV project is different. That is why easyLIGHT is available in two versions so that you have the ideal solution for all circumstances:

  • easyLIGHT South (south-facing): This variant tilts the modules on one side and points them to the south — ideal for making maximum use of the midday sun. Depending on the desired angle of inclination, you can choose between 5°, 10° or 15° installation angle. A flatter angle (e.g. 5°) minimizes windsail effects and the required ballasting, while a steeper angle (15°) enables a higher energy yield at lunchtime. The south version is perfect for larger roof areas, where there is enough space for shading distances, and for systems that are primarily intended to meet peak demand during the day.
  • easyLIGHT East/West (east-west orientation): In this variant, the modules are set up in pairs at the back of each other with a 10° inclination — one faces east, the other faces west. The result: an east-west elevation with an extremely low overall height and minimal distances between the rows of modules. This allows you to use the roof area very efficiently, as virtually no empty areas are required for shading. East/West systems provide a yield spread over the day (morning sun + evening sun), which can be beneficial for optimising self-consumption, for example. This variant is ideal for limited roof areas or when a low installation height is required — e.g. for flat roofs in inner cities with building requirements. In addition, the wind attack area is smaller, which further reduces the amount of ballast required.

Both easyLIGHT variants are fully aerodynamically optimized and wind tunnel tested — regardless of whether you opt for the South or East/West solution, you can rely on proven stability. The assembly system is delivered with suitable wind deflectors and components that are tailored to the selected orientation. Of course, module clamps, brackets and connectors are of the same quality in both versions — you always benefit from the advantages mentioned above, such as quick installation, roof protection and low weight.

Our tip: Use ALUMERO Solar.Pro.Tool software to determine the optimal variant for your project. There you can enter roof dimensions, location and module type and receive suggestions as to whether a south-facing or east/west configuration with easyLIGHT offers better performance or efficiency. That way, you'll always find the ideal solution for your customers.
