ALUMERO easySPEED South — flat roof PV mounting system for south orientation

ALUMERO easySPEED South is an innovative PV mounting system for south-facing flat roofs, which was developed specifically for professional PV installers such as solar engineers, roofers and electricians. It enables photovoltaic modules to be installed quickly and easily on flat roofs — without roof penetration and with optimal load distribution. Wholesalers also benefit from the low number of parts and high quality of this system, as it simplifies warehousing and logistics. With a 25-year warranty on functionality, easySPEED South also offers long-term safety and reliability.

Quick assembly and easy handling

Like the name easySPEED indicates, this system stands for speed: The installation of the photovoltaic system is intuitive and time-saving. Only a few components are required and all connections can be made with uniform screws. As a result, there is no need to change the tool, which significantly speeds up the installation. Many components are already pre-assembled — for example, structural protection mats made of robust polyester fleece are already attached to the contact surfaces. This saves additional work steps on the construction site. In total, two installers can build up several kilowatts of PV power in just a few minutes, which significantly reduces working time and costs. In addition, no complex measurement work is required, as the system does not require long mounting rails and can be flexibly positioned.

Ideal for storage & logistics: Thanks to the small number of different components (e.g. only one screw size for all connections) and compact elements, easySPEED South is also attractive from a wholesaler's point of view. The system can be stored to save space and is easy to handle, as there are no long rails or bulky components. Installers also appreciate this on the construction site — fewer parts mean fewer sources of error and faster assembly.

Safe on the roof without roof penetration

easySPEED is installed completely penetration-free, meaning that no roof penetrations or screws are required in the roof covering. This prevents leaks and maintains the roof warranty. In addition, fleece building protection mats are already attached to all contact points, which protect the roof seal and do not contain materials containing plasticizers. By dispensing with long mounting rails, there is also hardly any thermal expansion in the system, which reduces tensions and at the same time enables optimised water drainage on the roof — rainwater can flow off unhindered without being jammed up by rails.

Flexibility and module-friendly design

easySPEED South offers a high degree of flexibility when assembling modules. The modules can be mounted either vertically or horizontally, as the module clips can be attached to both the short and long sides of the modules. This allows installers to freely choose the orientation of the modules depending on roof area and shading distances. The system also has movable adapters on the module supports, which ensure voltage-free storage of the modules. Thanks to this design, the substructure adapts to minimal movements or dimensional tolerances of the modules, so that no mechanical stress is transferred to the glass or frame structure of the solar modules. The modules lie “stress-free” — an important aspect for the longevity of the PV modules, as stress cracks are avoided.

The sophisticated design completely dispenses with long rail connectors. Instead, the system consists of modular support elements (Lifts and slabs), which are freely positioned on the roof and weighted with ballast. This not only simplifies installation, but also allows individual adaptation to various roof layouts. Even on angled roof surfaces or when there are obstacles (such as fans or light domes), the arrangement of the PV modules can be flexibly arranged with easySPEED. In addition, no drilling or screwing is required on the roof — which is particularly convincing for roofers, as the roof covering remains intact and subsequent dismantling or conversion is easy.

Aerodynamic design — ballast optimized and wind tunnel tested

Despite the penetration-free, free installation, easySPEED South offers excellent stability. The system is aerodynamically optimized so that wind forces are effectively reduced and significantly less ballast weight is required. In wind tunnel tests, the design was refined to minimize buoyancy forces. As a result, the system remains stable even in strong winds without adding unnecessary additional weight to the roof. Calculations using ALUMERO Solar.Pro.Tool design software confirm the statics in accordance with European standards (e.g. DIN EN 1991) — easySPEED South withstands wind loads of up to 2.4 kN/m² and snow loads of up to 5.4 kN/m². Even in snowy alpine regions (Alpine version), the system can be used: On request, ALUMERO offers even wider support plates and additional wind deflectors to ensure absolute stability even under heavy snow loads. The maximum construction height is 25 m building height, so that the system can also be used safely on higher buildings or industrial buildings. Of course, easySPEED South is also statically tested and meets all requirements for safe operation over the entire lifetime.

Universal usability and compatibility

The easySPEED South system is suitable for almost all common PV modules. Framed modules from all manufacturers can be installed as long as they are within the usual dimensions of approx. 950—1200 mm wide and 1650—2300 mm long. This covers virtually all standard modules on the market, from 60-cell to large 72-cell and beyond. The clamping areas of the system securely grip the modules, and thanks to the grounding pin in the module terminals, electrical potential equalization/grounding is also ensured without additional drilling. The mounting system is also extremely adaptable to various roof types: Whether it's a foil, bitumen or gravel roof — easySPEED South can be used on all common flat roof surfaces. The system is stable even on gravel roofs, as the support plates rest over a large area and gravel can be used as additional ballast material if necessary. The system is designed for roof slopes of 0° to around 5°, which covers typical slopes of flat roofs. This makes it suitable for industrial hall roofs, commercial buildings and residential buildings equally. easySPEED South can also be used for higher buildings or exposed locations, as — as mentioned — the statics are protected up to 25 m building height and high wind zones.

For planners and installers, this flexibility means: One system for many cases. Regardless of whether it's a large contiguous PV field on an industrial building or a small-scale module layout between roof structures — easySPEED South can be configured accordingly. The ALUMERO solar.pro.tool planning software is available to help you optimally design the system for each project (e.g. ballast plans according to wind load zone). This allows solar engineers and project developers to quickly obtain reliable parts lists and static evidence for their offers.

Sustainability and longevity thanks to metagreen aluminum

ALUMERO manufactures easySPEED South in Europe according to the highest quality standards and pays particular attention to sustainability. All aluminum profiles and components of the system consist of the in-house metagreen alloy. This means that there will be a high proportion of secondary aluminum (recycled aluminum) used — around 80% recycled material on average. As a result, the CO₂ footprint of the products is significantly reduced without sacrificing quality. Aluminum is ideal for PV mounting systems because it is corrosion-resistant and has high stability and low weight. In combination with stainless steel screws and galvanized steel sheets for certain components, the result is an extremely durable system.

The robust construction and high-quality materials are reflected in the outstanding durability — ALUMERO provides a warranty of up to 25 years on easySPEED South. Installed systems remain in operation for decades with little maintenance. Should a system nevertheless need to be dismantled, the system is easy to dismantle and recycle thanks to its modular design. Aluminum can be almost completely recycled, which completes the cycle of sustainability. With easySPEED South, you are not only investing in an efficient and easy-to-install PV system, but also in a sustainable solution for the future.

The ideal solution for PV systems on flat roofs

ALUMERO easySPEED South combines quick assembly, roof-friendly construction and sustainable materials to create an assembly system that is convincing in practice. For PV experts, this means shorter installation times, high quality and satisfied customers — because the result is a carefully assembled system without roof damage and with optimum performance. Whether you are a solar engineer looking for a flexible and time-saving substructure, as a roofer prefer roof-compatible solutions or, as a wholesaler, would like to offer a proven product with clear advantages: easySPEED South meets all these requirements.
